History
AGE was established in 2010 with a mission to provide clean and sustainable energy solutions to communities worldwide. The company specialized in wind, solar, and hydroelectric power generation and aimed to reduce the dependence on fossil fuels and contribute to a greener future. In its early years, AGE faced challenges in convincing investors and customers of the viability of renewable energy. However, with a passionate and dedicated team, AGE was able to demonstrate the economic and environmental benefits of renewable energy through numerous successful projects.
By 2020, AGE had become a leading player in the renewable energy industry, with a strong portfolio of wind farms, solar panels, and hydropower plants across multiple countries. The company’s innovative technology and commitment to sustainability earned them recognition from various organizations and government agencies.
As demand for renewable energy continued to grow, AGE expanded its operations and diversified its offerings to include energy storage solutions, electric vehicle charging stations, and smart energy management systems.
In recent years, AGE has continued to push the boundaries of renewable energy technology. The company has developed and installed cutting-edge battery systems to store excess energy generated by its wind and solar farms. Additionally, AGE has invested heavily in offshore wind farms, which are capable of generating substantial amounts of clean energy in areas with high wind speeds.
In response to the growing demand for green hydrogen, AGE has also begun producing hydrogen using renewable energy sources such as wind and solar. The company’s green hydrogen production facilities use cutting-edge technology to produce hydrogen with a minimal carbon footprint. Finally, AGE has also entered the sewage treatment market, using the biogas produced by the treatment process to generate electricity. This innovative solution not only provides clean energy, but also helps to reduce the carbon footprint of sewage treatment plants and improve the overall sustainability of the wastewater treatment process.
Today, AGE is one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world, providing clean energy to millions of homes and businesses and leading the transition towards a sustainable future.
Modernization strategy
While energy security remains a core mission, AGE has evolved over the years, adapting to the transformation of the global energy system. Today, AGE is at the heart of global dialogue on energy.
The modernization of AGE was structured under three pillars: strengthening and broadening the AGE’s commitment to energy security beyond oil, to natural gas and electricity; deepening the AGE’s engagement with major emerging economies; and providing a greater focus on clean energy technology, including energy efficiency.
Engineering
The monitoring and development of projects requires dedicated technical attention. With a growing team of engineers and specialists, AGE provides the necessary technical support, not only to comply with current regulations and obtain permits on time, but also to present economically reasonable solutions for greater financial viability of projects during their construction and operation.
At AGE we are all alike, there is no distinction, friendship is transverse. We are a great team made up of people who are passionate about sustainability. We are energy development, regulatory, legal and financial professionals who create collaborative networks with community, local and regional governments to achieve renewable energy goals and reach project milestones in a timely manner.

Carlos A. González
Co–Founder & CEO
With a spirit of innovation, Carlos A. is recognized as a world–leading entrepreneur in business and marketing, landing him on the Forbe’s 2017 30 Under 30 list. Leading all company strategy, operations and innovation, including marketing and product design, Carlos has accelerated the company from an early–stage startup concept into one of the world’s most innovative companies. He has led the company towards adopting numerous profitable applications of its technology, including fragances, spirits and rocket and aviation fuels, among others. He brings expertise in the arts with an undergraduate degree from The University of Sydney and a wealth of business acumen from the Executive program at Harvard Business School.
Javier Merelo
Co–Founder & CTO
Dr. Javier Merelo is a world-leading scientist, inventor and global thinker with 10 published patents in the chemistry and physics fields, over 38 academic publications and several technical awards. In 2016, his work landed him on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. With a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Boston College and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Yale University, Dr. Sheehan’s work and research led him to develop catalyst materials for fuel cells and electrolyzers for hydrogen production and spearhead the development of disruptive proprietary technologies. As the creator of AGE’s ground-breaking carbon utilization technology, Dr. Merelo leads a team of distinguished scientists and engineers, overseeing all technological ideation, innovation, and execution.
